WorldFoods spices up home cooking with free from range of Asian cooking pastes and sauces

WorldFoods, a pioneer in the fusion and Asian food industry, has today announced that it is bringing its all-natural, authentic range of Asian pastes and sauces to the UK, following its success in the US and Europe. The range will include eight pastes, two versatile marinades and three dipping and stir fry sauces.

Produced in Thailand, WorldFoods products are made from the freshest, high-quality, natural ingredients, traditional herbs and spices, sourced from Thailand and other South East Asia countries. The range offers an authentic formulation of popular Asian dishes offering British consumers the versatility to recreate their favourite dishes at home. Ideal for the busy professional who does not have the time or skill to accomplish complicated recipes, the range includes popular Thai flavours as well as influences from exciting, emerging cuisines including Malaysian, Singaporean and Indonesian.

All WorldFoods products are free from artificial colours, flavourings and preservatives, and are fish, gluten, milk/lactose, nut and soya free, making the range ideal for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs. It is also non-GMO and Halal certified. With almost half (48%) of those who eat or buy free-from saying they are likely to eat more free-from food in the next year[i], the range taps into a growing demand from health-conscious consumers, as well as those with actual or suspected allergies or intolerances.

Available from Tree of Life, a leading health, organic and natural food wholesale distributor, the range includes:

  • Thai and Asian Pastes, available in 200- 220g jars, including Thai Green, Red and Yellow Curry; Thai Basil, Tom Yum; Malaysian Rendang; Indonesian Nasi Goreng and Singaporean Nyonya Laksa.
  • Marinades, available in 300ml jars, including Thai Turmeric and Lemongrass as well as the popular Malaysian Chilli and Coconut.
  • Dipping and Stir Fry sauces, available in 150ml glass jars, including Thai Sweet Chilli with Kaffir Lime, Pad Thai and Chinese Ginger, Garlic and Chilli.

May Foong, Global Business Director at WorldFoods, comments: “Our range reflects a growing consumer trend for re-creating ethnic food at home and an increasing interest in Asian cuisine. All of our products are created in Thailand by regional chefs from across South East Asia.

“The range is designed to be easy and convenient to use, whilst delivering a premium restaurant-quality meal at home. We know that consumers are increasingly looking to try new cuisines and flavours and we’re confident that the WorldFoods range will appeal to those who enjoy a healthy, balanced diet, as well as those who may suffer from allergies or intolerances.”

WorldFoods was established in 1989, when Foong partnered with an old friend based in Thailand to bring the company and range to life. The company produces over 60 different kinds of readymade Asian sauces, pastes, marinades and salad dressings. These are sold in more than 3,000 stores in the US as well as Canada, Germany, Finland, the Middle East and New Zealand, as well as Malaysia and Thailand.

WorldFoods Pastes and Marinades retail from £1.89-£2.29 (RSP) and its Noodle and Dipping Sauces from £1.49-£1.69 (RSP).
