Waitrose has today opened a new convenience shop in Dubai, as it continues its partnership with Fine Fare Food Market LLC (FFFM).
It has become its fourth shop in Dubai and its ninth in total in the United Arab Emirates, including the five located in Abu Dhabi – three of which are also convenience stores.
The 4,900 sq ft shop forms part of the new Dar Wasl shopping centre, which is located in a busy residential area and is designed to provide a top-up shopping offer for both expats and local Emirati customers.
The new shop will offer a wide range of Waitrose products, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat, bakery, delicatessen, frozen and non food lines. A number of products from the essential Waitrose and Waitrose 1 ranges will be available, including fresh British milk, cheese, yogurts, pasta, pasta sauces and confectionery.
The shop has created 15 jobs and FFFM will run its daily operation, supported by Waitrose in the UK, with a focus on delivering the high levels of customer service and quality food that shoppers expect from the Waitrose brand.
Barry Delehanty, Head of B2B Growth & Development at Waitrose, said:
“We’re seeing ever increasing demand for Waitrose products from global audiences – either from British people who have moved abroad, or from those who have heard about our great products. Our quality and provenance really appeals to the international market and we’re proud that our brand continues to retain the trust of customers wherever they are in the world.”
