Considered the key event of the food industry in the world, 7,000 exhibitors from 80 countries have confirmed their presence by offering high quality products, varied and innovative.

Tunisia will also be present with 9 companies in the olive oil sector. A space dedicated to the promotion of olive oil packaged in Tunisia and Tunisian olive oil tasting sessions are scheduled. Nine companies dealing with the Tunisian olive oil are present in this show: Agromed, Sodepa, Medagro, Huilerie Loued, Establishment SL Med Oil Company, Horchani Olive Oil, Topoliva, Cogia.

The Tunisian participation in the show led by the Centre Technique de l’Emballage et du Conditionnement (Packtec), under the Ministry of Trade and Industry and funded by the FOPROHOC, is part of a wide program that aims to improve the visibility of the Tunisian olive oil on foreign soils. The country plans to enhance domestic agriculture and support the efforts of local manufacturers by improving exports of Tunisian olive oil.

Hosted every two years at SIAL Paris and housed in the dedicated Observatory area at the event, the competition is only open to exhibitors and highlights the most groundbreaking food industry currently available. In addition, SIAL is always in keeping with the latest food trends, and this year, for the first time, the show will present a new Gluten-Free Zone, which will showcase the latest developments in this fast-growing sector.
