Amazon revealed that during this Christmas week there were 3 million new subscribers for Amazon Prime. Amazon has released data about the performance during the Christmas period: the Amazon Prime program has collected 3 million new subscribers only in the week of Christmas. The best sellers during this week include Adele’s latest album, the original trilogy of Star Wars and low-cost gadgets in general.

Against a fee of 19.99 Euros per year, Amazon Prime enables access to limited edition sales items with an added benefit of free shipping and a superfast delivery within couple of hours. Amazon Prime is only available in just 20 metropolitan areas for now. This program also allows you to have unlimited space for their photos online and, in addition, to have access to the tens of thousands of movies and TV series exclusive, some of which are produced directly from Amazon.

The program includes one month free trial, after which it’s easy to unsubscribe and, therefore, it is likely that many people have used this ploy to get free deliveries during Christmas. However, even if were to – this would still be a success because the Prime subscribers spend more time on Amazon and buy more things. The success just quoted Prime also had other repercussions. In total, one billion photos have been uploaded to Prime Photo (unlimited storage) and have more than doubled the hours of viewing of TV series on Prime Video. ┬áSign of the success of Prime was also the large volume of sales of Amazon device. Sales of the Kindle family are doubled compared to last year with the record.
