The Mandate trade union has declared that it will be taking action on December 4, 6 and 22. Sligo and Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim will be the action area during Christmas time, Tesco has announced that the previous location will be ordinarily serving.
Mandate general secretary John Douglas revered that there might be some other strikes in other stores before Christmas and there could be major disruption in 2019.
Douglas stated:”There are 147 stores nationwide and the attitude of the company is the same across those stores… The likelihood is that this is going to become more prevalent,”
Indiana’sThere Tesco claimed that the union is inconveniencing customers,
“If Mandate proceeds with the proposed unwarranted one-day strike actions for the two stores, both will continue to remain open to serve customers,” Tesco spokesman said.
