The Russian discount Mere enters the Polish market.

After having a foot stand in Germany, Mere The Russian ghost is following the German giants in Poland too.

Mere is a brand that belongs to the Russian company Torgservis. In April, the network sought employees to work in the 1st store in Poland. Most probably, the first branch will be opened in Częstochowa at ul. 1 May. According to the website portal, the network plans to launch 105 stores across Poland.

Owners of the Mere network – Sznajder brothers – started building their empire in Russia. The first stores were built in Krasnoyarsk. Currently, Mere is a network of 800 branches located in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, Germany and Romania. The Sznajder brothers plan to conquer further markets, including Polish ones.

As reported by at the end of January 2019, the first store of the network near Leipzig was opened. The interest turned out to be so big that there was not enough assortment for all customers. It was necessary to close the store for two days and deliver the goods.

What is the magic of Mere?

The network has large requirements for suppliers – the price of the goods, including the cost of delivery to the store, must be 20-30% lower than in competing stores. The reduction is achieved by reducing the cost of packaging and selling products of the economy and middle class – in Mere we will not buy luxury goods.
