The International Wine Challenge has today announced its Great Value Awards for 2014

• Asda, The Co-operative, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose all receive Great Value Awards
• Great Value Awards given to wines from Argentina, Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, and Spain
• All Great Value Award winners must be nationally available

The International Wine Challenge has today announced its Great Value Awards for 2014, with eight of the 13 Awards being handed to supermarket own-brand wines. Asda, The Co-operative, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose all received Great Value Awards for some of their wines. From reasonable Rioja to bargain Champagne, any savvy shopper will want to get their hands on these Great Value Award winning wines.

Each of the Great Value Awards is given to a wine which received a Gold or Silver medal in the 2014 competition and is nationally available in supermarkets, independent retailers or online. The International Wine Challenge awards Great Value Status to wines at different price points up to £15 for still wines and to £25 for sparkling to ensure that shoppers can pick up a Great Value wine to suit any occasion and budget.
