After the very sad announcement of The UK giant retailer that up to 9,000 staff jobs will be at risk as it is closing its fresh food counters, the company excluded Tesco pharmacy staff from the 9,000 employees set to lose their jobs at the supermarket.

According to C+D, the supermarket said these cuts would not affect the company’s more than 300 in-store pharmacies.

The company representatives expressed their intentions to redeploy half of these 9,000 employees who probably will lose their jobs in case the plan works to open new stores with different formats.

The day after the announcement many counters went to their stores and received customers hoping that they are not among those who will lose their jobs, but unfortunately they received emails informing them of losing their jobs.
