Tesco launches online party food service

Tesco has launched Easy Entertaining, an online one-stop-shop for customers’ party needs, just in time for the busy Christmas party season.

Customers can now order platters of hot or cold finger food, canapés, cooked meat, fish and sushi platters and hot main dishes such as lasagne and curry through The new service can cater for events of all sizes, from business lunches and casual buffets, to formal celebrations and children’s parties – at Tesco’s usual competitive prices.

Initially available in London, all orders will be delivered from the four Dotcom stores that serve the capital in Enfield, Greenford, Aylesford and Croydon.

The website – – has been designed to be convenient and easy to use when planning an event, with categories like desserts and cakes, buffet foods, party accessories, and even pre-selected party menus for customers who want to get everything they need at one click of a button.

Like the recently launched online Commuter Zone, the website offers the benefits of using, including access to your Favourites and clear sight of your basket and multi-buy savings.  Customers can choose a convenient delivery slot which fits with their party planning schedule, with no extra delivery cost for Delivery Saver customers*.

Tesco Director of Internet Retailing Ken Towle said:
