Tesco forms new alliances to face the challenge
After the new merge of the two giant supermarket retailers Asda and Sainsbury’s whom are controlling together more than 30% of the market-share of grocery in Great Britain , which is nearly equivalent to Tesco’s market share by its own. this puts Tesco in a hard position where it has to maintain its share in the British market by finding new strategies. One of the first steps taken by the biggest supermarket retailer in Great Britain is forming an alliance with the French retailer Carrefour which is covering currently more than 30 countries from different continents .
Tesco’s chief executive has expressed his delight to be entering this strategic alliance with Carrefour which he said it will be improving the choice of the quality and the value.
