He told the Evening Standard: “I discovered it funny in light of the fact that it was either a pure mix-up or somebody jabbing a little fun at the way of life of youngsters today.
“There were children’s health products, Calpol, Sudocrem, all the standard kids’ solution.”
He soon got an answer to say the condoms had been evacuated.
A Tesco spokesman said: “Our customer made us aware of this error and we quickly moved the products to the correct aisle of the store.”
