UK supermarket chain Tesco has guaranteed to catch up on its spelling and grammar errors subsequent to committing two separate mistakes in a single pack of child garments. The parents of three-month-old Alexander Kendall recognised the mistakes in the wake of being given the pack of five Tesco F&F long sleeve bodysuits as a present.
One of the suits conveys the trademark “I was born awsome” – missing out the first “E” in awesome. Another misses a possessive apostrophe and reads “Daddys little man”. Child garments blunders made Tesco publish a statement of regret. Tesco reacted after Alexander’s dad brought up the mistakes on social networking platform Twitter.
The supermarket giant offered an exchange or refund and said: “Sad about this, we’ve made our suppliers aware of this so it can be rectified for future stock.” Alexander’s Mother Sophie Kendall, 28, from Norwich, said: “We both work as writers and so are more pompous about these things than most. “Luckily Alex is far off having the capacity to read so we’ll simply use the suits and hope no one notice this.”
