Telepizza, the world’s largest pizza delivery company outside the US in terms of number of outlets, announces its arrival in Iran in March 2017 through a strategic master-franchise alliance with its partner Momenin Investment Group. The target is 200 sales outlets in the next 10 years. That would mean opening of some 20 establishments a year and an investment of 100 million € over a period of ten years by MIG.
In addition to the arrival of Telepizza in Iran, the company announced other major international expansion operations in 2016. In this regard, Telepizza has indicated that it plans to open 80 sales outlets in the UK over the next 10 years, alongside Karali Ventures Limited, in parallel with the development of a business plan that includes 300 new Ten years, with the collaboration of 20 franchises.
The first point of sale will be located in Tehran, the capital of the country, and then seven other points of sale will be opened before the end of the year. “The arrival of Telepizza in Iran is a major achievement in our international expansion and represents an excellent opportunity for our company. Moreover, in Malta, through its partnership with Joseph P. Attard, the brand will open a sales outlet in the first half of 2017 and three additional outlets over the next three years.
In Saudi Arabia, Telepizza already has several establishments following the recent inauguration of three points of sale in Riyadh, the capital of the country. These are the first of 100 outlets expected over a period of 10 years. In this case, the transaction was carried out in collaboration with Emtyaz Catering Company, a subsidiary of Al Bayan Holding Group.
Since its arrival in Chile in 1992, Telepizza’s international expansion has been actively pursued. 1,342 points of sale (456 owned by the company and 886 franchises and master franchises) are operated in 15 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, serving more than 60 million Customers with total sales of € 506 million.
The company also has its own factories in six countries (Spain, Portugal, Poland, Chile, Colombia and Peru) as well as factories under master-franchise in six other territories (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Central America, Russia, Bolivia and Angola), with partner warehouses in Ecuador and Poland.
