The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is cautioning consumers that there is a possibility that a fire ant was found in a Fall Flower Planter purchased at a Pennsylvania ALDI. Inspectors from the Department of Agriculture checked several of our stores and did not find any evidence of these insects. At ALDI, we take the safety and integrity of the products we sell very seriously. While the source of the fire ant was not known, on September 20, out of an abundance of caution, ALDI immediately removed the Fall Flower Planters from all of our stores and appropriately destroyed them. We are cooperating fully with both the Department of Agriculture and the USDA as they look into this matter.
