SIAL 2016 opens its doors at Paris

Europe’s largest exhibition of food industry products, SIAL 2016 has officially kicked off. The event covers 27 hectares and spans into five days. Wholly focused on new products and trends, it has seen an increasing number of companies walking through its doors. Around 7,000 businesses from all over the world are currently in Paris to showcase the best the agribusiness world has to offer.

Around 160,000 delegates from around the world attends the five-day show, which runs until Thursday 20 October, and this year will features the theme ‘Look Deeper’, a new motto for the overall SIAL network.

Held at the exhibition center “Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte” in Paris from 16 to 20 October 2016, SIAL 2016 exhibition features, in eight separate sections, 20 thematic product sections of food and drinks industry in the following areas: Herbal teas, meats, dairy products, deli products and ready meals, equipment, machinery, frozen food, ice cream, fruit and vegetables, exquisite items and gourmet, health food products and dietary supplements, ingredients, meat products, poultry, game, national pavilions, organic products, local areas products France, savory grocery products, seafood, pastries, groceries and baked goods, canned food, wine and alcoholic beverages.

Russia and the Rostov region will participate in the exhibition for the first time in its half a century history. This is probably one of the world’s largest exhibition of food products, food, agricultural products, and as for the Rostov region, the food industry is one of the key growth areas.
