Shelf-edge label to raise donation at sainsbury’s

A group of teenagers has participated in raising donations in Sainsbury’s food donation programme.
The idea came after a group of teenagers working on a summer social project in Exeter, the background of the project came after noticing that customers only notice the donation box when they are going out after checking-out.

The shelf-edge label was made to remind customers while shopping to donate items, this initiative has tripled donations, according to The Guardian, Claudine Blamey, Sainsbury’s head of corporate responsibility and sustainability, said “We’re excited to be working together to expand Sainsbury’s food donation programme and to launch Argos’s toy donation programme”.
