Scottish red meat exporters represented at  SIAL exhibition in Paris

Red meat exporters of Scotland will be representing Scotch Lamb PGI and Scotch Beef PGI in Paris at SIAL. Eleven Scotland exporters are planning to attend the event which id going to take place on 16 to 20th October.

Scotland’s stand will highlight the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of Scotch Lamb and Scotch Beef and the grade of quality assurance, welfare and provenance from the brands. The exhibition will attracts more than 155,000 spectators and around 7,000 exhibitors from 105 countries over its five days.

The exporters will be joined by European agents and QMS staff to upheld the Scottish red meat business to traders and buyers around the globe. The QMS head of marketing, Laurent Vernet told that all the world’s meat exporting countries will be present at SIAL this month. And it is very important that Scottish exporters have a strong presence at the event, highlighting and describing what makes Scotch Lamb PGI and Scotch Beef PGI desirable to shoppers. The PGI and Scottish brands already enjoy firm trade awareness on the region. SIAL provides Scottish traders an opportunity to develop that kind of awareness, as well as offering exporters a great opportunity to flourish business.
