The company Maryland recalls sunflower seeds because of a Salmonella suspicion sunflower seeds the product name “real-quality”. During a routine check, Salmonella was detected in a batch, the supermarket chain Real announced on the online platform Lebensmittelwarnung.de.
The packs weighing 500 and 1000 grams, with a best before date of 05/2020 and batch numbers 500g: L NBEN and 1000g: L TOP, are affected. Customers who bought the cores can return them to Real and get the purchase price refunded.
Salmonella can cause severe diarrhea and high fever, among other things. The sunflower seeds were sold in Real stores in Bavaria, Berlin, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.
