Salmonella!! Recall at Kaufland

Due to a Salmonella proof, Kaufland voluntarily calls back frozen lamb fillets. Affected by the Kaufland own brand “Exquisite” are the “lamb fillets ready to cook, portioned, deep-frozen” in a 400-gram package. Specifically, these are the packs from the “Lot L 18141301 B22” with the best before date April 9, 2020. The lamb fillets come from the supplier Steakmeister GmbH. The microbiological contamination in the form of salmonella was detected during a routine control.

According to own data Kaufland is said to have taken the affected product preventively from the sale. customers are asked to not consume the product and return it instead to the Kaufland stores even without the presence of receipts.

Salmonella can trigger symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting. Seniors and immunocompromised individuals may experience more serious illnesses.
