Risk Of Salmonella Poisoning In Galaxy And Maltesers Chocolate

The most popular chocolate brands recalled all their products from Irish supermarkets as there is possibility of exposing the consumer to salmonella poisoning by the intake of these products. Galaxy – the smooth milk bars and Maltesers could lead to salmonellosis revealed by the Irish food chefs. However there are no reports of illness as of now. Symptoms include diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting and fever.

The batch code of 720B1SLO00 galaxy products and 720A1SLO00 of Maltesers should be strictly avoided as their consumption in any circumstances could lead to severe poisoning. The two brands have stated that the affected products were accidently distributed in the market.

Similarly last year mars had called off its products due to the possible presence of salmonella. The two products were put on hold with an Irish distributor and was waiting for the destruction of the two products. However in a series of confusion the products were accidently distributed in the market.

All the food businesses have been instructed not to sell any of these affected batches. However if any person has consumed any of the products from the affected batches and are having any symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach cramps, vomiting and fever or feeling unwell in any other way should seek medical help as soon as possible.
