Carrefour Hypermarket of Soignies has decided to withdraw from the sale of ground meat preparations because of suspicion of the presence of plastic pieces, the group announced in a statement, relayed by the AFSCA.

All the products concerned were removed from the sale as a precaution. “Some of these products were however marketed, on the Belgian market, before the withdrawal measure. It is therefore recommended that people who possess the products described above do not consume them and destroy them or bring them back to the Carrefour Hypermarket Soignies where they will be reimbursed, “says Carrefour Belgium.

This measure relates only to products manufactured on May 2, 2019 in the Carrefour Hypermarket of Soignies with the mention “626 Soignies” on the label and expired on May 4, 2019. Concerned minced pork and veal, minced pork and beef, chipolata, pork and beef sausages, Tuscan sausages, cheese sausages, stuffed tomatoes, stuffed zucchini and stuffed peppers.
