Real supermarket closes for good

The retailer Metro and the real estate giant Redos need some time, but the end of Real is practically sealed. Both companies announced that they will continue their talks exclusively.

Actually, Redos and Metro wanted to negotiate exclusively by the end of July. Now the deadline has been extended – until the end of September. At least that reports refer to an agreement that other providers and investors have no chance to take over the real markets.
The extension does not seem to be a surprise. The financial year ends for Real on September 30th.
For the well-known supermarket brand, it means the end. After all, the talks between Redos and Metro are primarily about smashing the company.
