Primark fashion chain is expected to occupying the UK’s second-largest clothes retailer before the end of 2018 , with a steady increased share, the estimations of the Data group GlobalDatarefers that Primark is on its way of commanding a 6.8% of share of the clothing market by the end of the 2018.
This brings Marks & Spencer Group doing extra work in order to not lose its shares to Primark which is expending its sales to around 12 countries raising its sales up to 5% in UK , the GlobalData’s senior retail analyst Kate Ormrod through her statement said : “with UK sales rising 5.3% in FY2017/18, and domestic l-f-ls at 1.2%, Primark’s 2018 clothing market share is forecast to hit 6.8%, overtaking Next by 0.1 percentage points to become runner up behind M&S.” the speaker added  “Primark is showing the resilience that midmarket players and the likes of New Look can only dream of with the behemoth’s success down not only to price but to product, and in particular its impressive breadth and depth, with Primark equally top of mind for basics as it is for trend-led items,”.
