Thousands of trade buyers from across the natural and organic world will be heading to Madrid over 6-7 June for the launch of Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia. Among them will be hundreds of senior international buyers, taking part in the event’s new high-profile hosted buyer programme.
Event co-organisers Diversified Communications and IFEMA have committed considerable resources to ensure the success of this important new initiative, putting together an impressive package of over 500 free hotel nights, complimentary flights/travel, and a dedicated VIP support team to attract all the right big spenders (ie qualified buyers with an annual budget of five million euros plus).
The hand-picked VIP attendees will also benefit from increased networking opportunities (use of the VIP Lounge throughout the show, for example), and exclusive events, including a dedicated Drinks Reception at the Organic & Eco Awards Iberia, on the first night of the show, sponsored by Portugal Foods.
Large organic food retailers, owners of multiple health stores or eco-stores, supermarket buyers, distributors, and wholesalers looking to expand their business within the Iberian Peninsula will be invited to participate. The event’s founding exhibitors can also nominate their key international prospects.
Project director Susana Andrés Omella explains: “As a truly international showcase, not only will Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia support the continued growth of the domestic markets by promoting the best produce from across Spain and Portugal, it will help facilitate trade with the best retailers, wholesalers and distributors from around the world.
“Our international VIP attendees will find a wealth of inspiring new products and essential new business connections that they need to give them a competitive edge. While our exhibitors will be introduced to the key decision-makers and influencers that they need to take their business/sales to the next level. It’s a win-win for everyone involved. And is further proof that Organic Food Iberia is set to be one most important organic event to attend in 2019.”
“I’d highly recommend taking part. Being a hosted buyer is a great way to gain quick and extensive knowledge. It’s the perfect opportunity for those looking to expand into different markets and find exciting new brands to work with,” says Sari Kujanpää, R&D marketing director at Via Naturale Oy in Finland, who has attended Natural & Organic Products Europe in London as part of its long-running hosted buyer programme.
