OPTIMUS’ CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

COMPANY BEATS COMPETITORS FROM THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION AND THE AMERICAS IN THE
SECTOR OSCARS –
Optimus has been voted the company with the “Best Customer Service in the World”, winning the Contact
Centre World 2012 prize in the category “World’s Best Customer Service.” The main objective of this award
is to distinguish the company that has made the greatest impact on Customer Service in the world.
The prize, awarded at a ceremony that took place in Las Vegas, followed on from the path which had already
led Optimus for the second year running to win first place in July this year for Best Customer Service (Inhouse
Contact Centre) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the most relevant and wide ranging of all the
competition’s categories among 1,000s of candidates from 50 different countries
For the second year running, winning this first prize for the EMEA region gave Optimus the right to take part in
the world final of the World’s Best Customer Service, in which it won the world title for Best Customer
Service, after contesting the final with the best from the APAC (Asia and Pacific) and Americas regions.
Talking about this distinction, Miguel Almeida, Executive Chairman of Optimus, says: “This worldwide
distinction recognises the enormous effort that the company has made to continuously improve the quality of
service provided to our customers. It is a source of great pride to gain this recognition, especially when we have
competed directly against the best companies on the planet operating in a wide range of sectors, and it is a
stimulus for us to continue to try to provide an ever better service that is closer to our customers. It is to them
that we dedicate this prize”.
Over the last few years, Optimus has been following a consistent path which has been firmly focused on
customers and meeting their requirements. The strategy followed, called “Make It Easier”, aims at facilitating
the process of contact with the customer to the maximum, based on four crucial areas, and was the main
reason for winning the award. The areas are: “Know Me”; “Listen to Me”; “Help Me”; and “True Service Culture”.

The prize giving ceremony, organised by the Contact Centre World – The Global Association for Contact
Centre Best Practices & Networking for the seventh consecutive year, took place in Las Vegas in the United
States on the 2nd of November.
It should be noted that this year Optimus was once again distinguished, for the third year running, for Best
Customer Service at the APCC Portugal Best Awards 2012, in the Telecommunications category, winning
the three top places in the Company, Residential and Optimus Clix segments.
In 2012, Optimus was awarded for the second year running the prize for Best Customer Service in Europe,
the Middle East and Africa in the Contact Centre World 2012 event, a prize which qualified the company for
the world final.
