The giant retailer Morrisons has celebrated the conversion of one of its garages into a Morrisons Daily store today Thursday, November 22nd.
The former location included a garage and a petrol station. By converting it into a Morrisons Daily the new store will be opening four new jobs and will deliver more services to customers.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony has taken place with the presence of the Mayor of Gedling, councilor Barbara Miller who expressed her delight for the opening of the new store.
Site manage to the local press said: “MPK took over from Walkers originally and now we’ve signed a franchise agreement with Morrisons. We are essential to the community as a lot of people usually come in here for a good natter, so it’ll be good to offer them a wider range of stuff and a better choice. It has created four new jobs and we’re expecting that to increase. We have nine staff at the moment so its basically a 50 percent increase. The idea is that we are moving away from the petrol station to become more retail focused.”
