From Saturday, April 20, customers can shop again in the store in the commercial zone of the highway. During the three-month closure, the store was rebuilt according to the latest ALDI store concept. The new branch was already expanded in 2015 (to 1,100 m²). So, this time around, the renovation work was all about freshening the outside and inside of the building. The façade has been completely redecorated: new, more modern brick and awning constructions as well as large windows all the way down to the ground are now defining the picture. The interior was furnished according to the latest interior design concept of the discounter.
“The changes are clearly visible: an extensive bread department, a real fresh produce market with top quality fruit and vegetables, a new store design, new furniture, bright LED lighting, etc. Some customers will have to look at the price tags to make sure they actually do in an ALDI store “, it says in your press release. “To work out our new store concept, we asked our customers what their ideal Aldi store would look like in the future,” says Jan Oostvogels, Managing Director of the ALDI company Vaux-sur-Sûre. Based on these answers, the store design has been revised.
The departments with fresh products are becoming more prominent. Salads, juices and meals, as well as the fruits and vegetables, are presented in a higher quality. The bread department has been extended and will be located near the entrance. “A large selection of bread rolls and pastries are baked several times a day in brand new ovens,” promise those responsible. Incidentally, with the exception of a number of fresh products, the number of articles in the modernized Aldi store will not be increased.
