This autumn, Asda has taken two of its best-selling lines and combined them to create NEW Nacho Chicken Kievs. Made from chicken breast coated in a crunchy, crisp nacho crumb, lightly spiced with jalapeno, paprika and coriander, this hybrid Kiev is stuffed with a mouth-watering nacho-cheese sauce.
An Eastern-European dish dating back to the 18th century, the seemingly humble Chicken Kiev has become a well-loved dinner across the world with several interesting variations – but not yet with a Nacho twist. Following the rise and popularity of hybrid products, such as the croll (croissant-roll)* and the sushirrito (sushi burrito), Asda has seized the opportunity to put a Mexican spin on the classic chicken dish.
Asda product developer, Bethany Ellam, says: ‘We know our customers love an innovative hybrid product, and we think this all new cuisine crossover will go down a storm. The extra crunch and kick of the Nacho crumb combined with the deliciously oozing cheese sauce will make any big night in one to remember.’
Retailing at only £1.60, this wonderful fusion of flavours is ready to cook for an indulgent night in with an old favourite.
