As a part of revamping its existing logo, supermarket giant Morrisons unveiled a tree style logo in its selected stores in UK. The supermarket has revealed the new look logo crosswise over six areas around the north of England as a part of a pilot task to test the water on new branding initiative.
The “tree” theme delineates golden leaves growing from the letter I of the word Morrisons with the date of the organization initiation added to the design to highlight its tradition. Morrisons stated the customer feedback was fairly positive until now and the supermarket chain assured that it would take a final decision on the logo rebranding only after receiving nationwide feedback.
A representative for the chain said that the new logo has just been trailed at one major store, then at a couple of smaller ones. He added that the new logo trial is as a part of its routine feature of trying different new innovations in selected range of stores. There are right now no plans to broaden the take off past the restricted trial range, he included.
