Supermarket chain Morrisons have rolled out its Christmas adverts on Facebook before airing them on TV. The adverts focus on the role of food how it helps facilitate the special moments during the holiday season. The supermarket chain has launched two ads created by Publicis London with one following a young boy learning random facts and the other plays on on the common issue of finding room to store all the Christmas dinner food.
The first 40 second advert shows Morrisons staff helping out a young boy revising for an anticipated game of Trivial Pursuit with his Grandad on Christmas Day. The second shows a family stocking up on food and drinks, finding different places for the items such as in a doll house, in the shed or outside in the barbecue.
Andy Atkinson, Morrisons marketing director said: “Christmas is a special time of the year where families and friends gather together. Our adverts show our staff, the real heroes of our business, working hard to prepare festive food, offering great service and advice, and helping customers to create their own special moments at home with their family and loved ones.”
As well as TV, the #MorrisonsMakesIt campaign will run on national and regional radio, along with outdoor, press and digital advertising. Neil Gorringe directed the spots through Moxie Pictures.
