Morrisons plans to build a new supermarket in Oswestry

The plans of building the new supermarket on the old livestock market on Shrewsbury Road In a site that has been sitting derelict for almost five years were submitted in June which will create 60 full-time jobs.

During construction, no deliveries are permitted between 7 pm and 7 am on Monday to Friday, 5 pm – 8 am on Saturday and at any time on Sundays and Bank holidays, to protect the amenity of the area and the health and wellbeing of residents.

The full planning permission was granted by Shropshire Council last week, however, it is unsure when the work will begin.

The supermarket also needs to carry out a noise assessment report before it begins any work.
