He said he and Dick Boer, chairman, president and CEO of Ahold, plan a few road shows in late November and early December “to share our joint energy for this blend and to answer investor questions.”
While joining talks push ahead, Delhaize is centered around daily operations, Muller said, with arrangements to extend its “Easy, Fresh and Affordable” initiative to another Food Lion market in 2016, however he declined to demonstrate where it will be. “It will be a key business sector for us, however we would prefer not to unveil where for competitive reasons,” he clarified. He said learning from previous installment of the “Simple, Fresh and Affordable” activity at Food Lion stores in the Wilmington and Greenville, N.C., markets offered the organization some assistance with launching the system in Raleigh “out of an in robust position.
