Mercadona to open its largest supermarket in Cantabria


It will be in the grounds of the current factory of Lolín and will become the supermarket of the largest Valencian company in Cantabria with more than 3600 m2, occupying the entire surface of the plant’s ground floor.

The general director of Conservas Lolín and Catro Urdiales mayoral candidate for the PRC, Jesús Gutiérrez, explained to the local press that “the agreement signed with Mercadona will allow the creation of fifty jobs.”

Mercadona is a Spanish food distribution company specializing in local supermarkets, occupying first place in terms of the number of sales outlets, especially in front of Carrefour. The company employs nearly 74,000 people worldwide.M
