Mercadona has inaugurated on Monday a new efficient supermarket in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid), specifically in the ON Plaza Commercial Park, after an investment of three million euros. In its construction 29 suppliers have participated who have employed more than 280 people during the construction phase. This opening means the closure of the supermarket that the company had in the C.C. Guitarra.
The new establishment, with a sales hall area of 1,730 square meters, has new features in all its sections. It has a new point for meat, a new delicatessen with cut and packaged ham, a central gondola in the perfumery for cosmetics
specialized, a freshly squeezed orange juice service, sushi specialities, a new oven section with bread slicer and chilled pastry or a new exhibition in the fish market for shell products.
Also, in this store the new Ready to Eat section is incorporated, which has a total of 35 different dishes, which can be customized in some cases, such as salads, pizzas or pasta, almost doubles. All these options are served in containers made of natural materials, such as sugarcane (compostable material), cardboard or paper.
In addition, the Torrejón de Ardoz supermarket has a new double glazed entrance that prevents drafts, wider aisles, a rest area in the same store with chairs and tables where customers can consume the freshly prepared dish and accompany it With cold drinks and hot coffee. It also incorporates a new model of the shopping cart and cart type ergonomic and lighter.
