Manufacturer recalls shower gels at Kaufland

The manufacturer Weulbier-Kosmetik GmbH has taken two of its cosmetic products from the market. The company said an increased number of bacteria was detected during a routine inspection. The affected products were sold to Kaufland.

For preventive consumer protection reasons, the company recalls Bevola Shampoo Almond Milk, 500 millilitres, Lot 91830019 and the Bevola Men 3in1 Energy Kick Shower Gel in the 300 millilitre bottle, lot number 92030019, for preventative consumer protection purposes. During a routine check, an increased number of bacteria of the species Pluralibacter gergoviae was found.

Although the bacteria can be found everywhere in the environment, they could lead to a bacterial infection in people who are weak in their health or have skin injuries. Since a health risk can not be excluded, customers should discontinue use of the affected products with the mentioned batch numbers.

The affected products existed at Kaufland. Kaufland has taken the products out of the sale. They can be returned in all stores. The purchase price will be refunded, even without the presentation of the receipt.
