In a very brave step, the Giant UK retailer and the Giant French retailer have started a trial on some of their products to use refillable containers. If the trial is successful customers may expect later reusable things to contain their items.

instead of the reproduction which may effect the quality of the container, The innovation is based on taking used containers and clean them and refill them again for a further use.

The trial will be tested this spring by Carrefour in Paris and in some areas in the US and later in this year by Tesco. For now a limited number of items such as toiletries, ice-cream and breakfast cereals will be available to testers who sign up to the trial.
