German discount retailer Lidl is planning to expand its operation throughout Lithuania, a former Soviet bloc nation that borders Poland, Latvia and Belarus. The discounter announced that it is looking for employees throughout Lithuania, and said it would pay for every minute of overtime. Lidl is reportedly actively preparing to work in Lithuania and is in search of experts in different areas – from cashiers to financial professionals.
Lidl is expected to open a dozen stores in Lithuania in the summer. The company on its website has as much as 23 job advertisements. Lidl is looking for employees throughout Lithuania – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Alytus, Marijampole, Kėdainiai, Mažeikiai, Kretinga, Telšiai.
“We offer excellent working conditions and a friendly atmosphere, a stable and secure employment, development and career opportunities, higher than the average wage and the minute of paid overtime work”, – says some Lidl ads. Lidl stores vendors wishing to work must not be lower than secondary education, and must have a desire to work in the intensive physical work, ” the advertising says.
