Lidl deploys loyalty app in Germany

After having already introduced its Lidl Plus loyalty app in four European countries, it’s now Germany’s turn. In a first phase only customers from Berlin and Brandenburg will benefit from this loyalty program.

Currently Lidl Plus is already used in Austria, Spain, Denmark and Poland. Now the discounter introduces its loyalty app to Germany. After registration, the customer receives a virtual bonus card on their smartphone, which must be scanned at the checkout. Any coupons are automatically deducted and in case of expenses exceeding certain thresholds, the customers will receive coupons that they can use on a future visit or free products.

After registration the customer will also be entitled to a welcome discount of 5 euros, which can be deducted when buying a minimum of 25 euros. Lidl also promises ‘partner benefits’, including discounts on entrance tickets for the Aqua Dom & Sea Life in Berlin and the Madame Tussauds wax museum.
