Landmark Group pulling out Donald Trump products

Dubai-based Landmark Group, one of the Middle East’s biggest retail firms, said it was pulling Donald Trump products off its racks because of the Republican presidential leader’s call for a restriction on Muslims entering the United States.

Landmark and DT Home Marks International LLC have an exclusive deal to offer Trump Home items – including lighting, mirrors, and adornments boxes – in their Lifestyle retail establishments in Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

In light of the late proclamations made by the presidential front-runner in the US media, we have suspended sale of all items from the Trump Home stylistic layout range, CEO Sachin Mundhwa said in an announcement. The group did not give details on the estimation of the agreement.

On Monday, Trump made a provocative speech asking for a prohibition on Muslims entering the United States. This was one of the most dramatic reactions by a president aspirant. Trump made the speech two weeks after the shooting spree by two Muslims in California. The call drew sharp reproach from both the White House and other Republican presidential competitors. Lifestyle has more than 190 stores over the Middle East, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya and Tanzania.
