Kroger on Monday said that Charles Mitchell, VP of operations of its Atlanta Branch, would resign following 43 years with the organization.
Bruce Lucia , Kroger’s Atlanta division president said that throughout his exceptional career Charles has been a solid contributor to the accomplishment of many endeavours in the Atlanta Division. He had made a positive outlook over our industry, and his experience and expertise will be missed in the days to come. We thank Charles for his long years of committed service and wish him and his better half, Toni, the very best of retirement life.
Mitchell started his profession with Cincinnati-based Kroger in 1972 as an administration apprentice in Atlanta. Throughout his 43-year profession, Mitchell held at high-end roles in promoting and operations, and has served in his present role of VP of operations since 2009.
Mitchell is an alumni of Tuskegee University, and is dynamic in the Atlanta and Kroger groups. He served in an leading role in the Grocers Multicultural Committee and Enterprise Diversity Committee, and is a dynamic supporter of the United Negro College Fund, which is a charity and raising more than $1 million to support the organisation.
