Kaufland, reduced carbohydrate content potatoes

The German Kaufland network offers potatoes with lower carbohydrate content as part of a new range of fresh products. It is the network’s response to consumer expectations- as the company states-.

The new Coronada variety contains an average of 30 percent. less carbohydrates than other potatoes, and Kaufland is the first retailer that offers such a product.

The Coronada potatoes are distributed under the Linella brand. Together with its long-term partner, Europlant Pflanzenzucht, Kaufland has developed an innovative tuber to reduce the carbohydrate content by almost a third.
