Kaufland is expanding to Australia

Kaufland has received building permits for the first three branches and a distribution centre in Victoria, southeastern Australia. The stores will be located in Epping, Chirnside Park, Dandenong and the distribution centre in Mickleham.

The building permits are a very important milestone for Kaufland. Probably in May, the first construction work will be done. Three other Kaufland locations in Oakleigh South, Coolaroo and Mornington are currently under review.

The company is developing a tailor-made concept for the Australian market that meets the needs and expectations of its Australian customers. As in Europe, the food retailer will offer everything under one roof to its customers in Australia: a wide range of food and everything for daily needs. The assortment will be a mix of well-known and popular brands, Australian products as well as Kaufland own brands – with a focus on freshness and quality.
