Is it the end for Carrefour’s Easy ?

The French multinational retailer Carrefour has announced recently that it is giving up on its Easy “the branch that uses its own name ” and transforms its stores into the Express concept.

The French retailer was aiming to open a hundred Easy store, but due to some factors it failed to reach the number and opened only twelve stores which will be transformed later on into Express.

Baptiste Van Outryve explained: “We had already decided to stop Easy’s expansion, in order to focus on our brand with just three store concepts. A part of our January transformation plan was to stop spending money on other brand names.”
