After Monoprix in June 2019, it is the turn of Intermarché and Netto to announce their commitment to the well-being of broilers. The two banners of the group of Musketeers give themselves until 2026 to respect the criteria of the Better Chicken Commitment for all the products marketed with own mark and containing more than 50% of chicken.

By signing the Better Chicken Commitment, Intermarché and Netto are committed to improving the well-being of broilers in their supply through slower growing chicken strains, lower stocking density, natural light, perches and stinging substrates, more animal friendly slaughter and an external audit of these standards.

This development will be done with the technical support of the NGO CIWF, whose mission is to encourage breeding practices respectful of animal welfare.
