Spanish supermarket chain Hiperdino has announced plans to open 14 new stores in gas stations during 2016, with the current DinoBP sites having 155,000 registered customers, reported La Provincia.Javier Puga, CEO of Hiperdino, explained the company’s plans during a presentation where he detailed the expansion the convenience store chain wishes to execute in the fuel retailing business. During 2015 Hiperdino has earned €843 million in sales, 2% more than last year, and they expect toreach €907 million for 2016.

The DinoBP programme, created by Hiperdino has and British Petroleum (BP), has gone from 55,000 registered customers to 155,000 in just a year. The plan offers fuel discounts to clients who buy at the supermarket.

Among white and green balloons and before numerous citizens waiting at the door for shopping, the DinoSol Group yesterday inaugurated the new HiperDino Anaga, located in José de Zarate and Penichet, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This is an establishment of 1,530 square meters, in addition to the 15 that already has DinoSol in chicharrera capital. The new center, located specifically in Residential Anaga, has more than 50 free parking spaces and offers delivery service, as well as freshly baked bread.

Its opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 8:30 to 21:30 hours.The inauguration was chaired by CEO of DinoSol Group, Javier Puga, who was accompanied by the Minister of Technologies Cabildo, Felix Fariña; by the Councillor for Economy of the City of Santa Cruz, Alfonso Cabello; and numerous other authorities. Puga reported that only in the acquisition and refurbishment of the premises, as DinoSol bought this place to Radevi Canary, have invested more than one million euros. He said 48 people are who have been engaged to work on this new HiperDino.

With Residential Anaga, opened yesterday, DinoSol Group opened in just one month three new supermarkets, two in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria. In total, the group has 217 stores in the Canary Islands. The CEO announced yesterday that in 2106 plans to open seven new HiperDinos in Tenerife, with a total area of ​​10,500 square meters, and will close four 2,500 square meters. It also will be held in six centers reform. According Puga, next year will be invested over 20 million euros. DinoSol CEO stressed that despite the crisis, the group has managed to keep figures of around 7,000 employees. “And in 2016 we expect to reach 8,000,” he added. With regard to billing, it is expected to amount to about 900 million next year, which will mean an increase of 7% over 2015. “The benefit is 2%,  because our policy is to sell a lot and earn little” said Puga.

This took the opportunity to remember the commitment of the group by identifying gluten-free products. He also highlighted the progress in the development of the online store, which could become a reality in the first half of 2016.
