Another episode from the dramatic series of Kmart stores closure in all around the Country, and this time the turn is on Griffith’s Kmart to close.
This Sunday, Jan 6th the largest Kmart store is Griffith is going to close its doors permanently. The store has offered a liquidation sale on all the products to clean the shelves before the closure.
This closure came as a result of Accumulated debts on the brand, which failed to make it through.
The store used to employ 113 workers, who will find themselves “laid off ” after the closure.
According to nwitimesGriffith Town Council President Rick Ryfa said: “last year that the closing could result in the demolition of the entire Griffith Park Plaza shopping centre that was once home to Service Merchandise and Griffith Park Cinema. “
