Four varieties of ice cream at Aldi Nord and one at Aldi Süd were recalled by the manufacturer on Friday. They have the possibility of metal parts getting into the product.
Several pieces of ice cream sold by food discounter Aldi may have been found to be metal parts. Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd would therefore have the products taken out of sale, said the manufacturer Froneri Ice Cream Germany on Friday.
Affected by Aldi Nord are “Trader Joe’s Ice Cream American Style, 500 ml cups” in the Cookie Dough varieties (codes A 8284, A 8285), Nut Loves Choco (A 8283, A 8284) and Cookie Double Trouble (A 8281 , A 8282, A 8283) and the 500 ml “Supreme Rich & Creamy” cup of the Macadamia Nut variety (A 8278, A 8281). All products have the expiration date 30.4.2020.
Aldi Süd has recalled “Cookie Grand Dusty Ice Cream 500ml” with the best before date 30.4.2020 and all codes. Other articles of the brands are not affected. Customers could return the products for a refund of the purchase price in the respective market.
