first registerless Carrefour store in Massy

The French supermarket retailer has announced recently that it will be applying a new method of payment to its customers to avoid the long-lines check-out.

The new technology is based on cameras and facial recognition to know the picked up items by customers and ease the method of payment to reduce the check-out time spent by customers.

The initiative will be applied as a primary experimental period, in a small store in Massy (close to Paris), only employees will be able to shop at this store since it is only an experimental period.
