El Corte Inglés is a successful retailer in Spain with a turnover of more than EURO 16 billion. With the addition of El Corte Inglés, AMS will have 14 retail members covering 28 European countries and has combined annual retail sales of approximately EURO 130 billion.
AMS, one of the largest buying alliances of European food retailers, was established in 1988 with the purpose of realizing best purchasing terms and conditions across an extensive range of food and non-food products for its members. More than 100 million customers are shopping in more than 12,000 AMS member stores every week.
