Bricor no longer exists as a society. El Corte Inglés has absorbed the company of the group specialized in DIY and gardening. This is stated in the Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry (BORME) of this Tuesday.

It is a decision that department stores had already announced. In fact, the merger was approved at the Shareholders’ Meeting held in August, the first one chaired by Marta Álvarez. At that time, from the company explained that the objective is to “improve and complement the commercial offer, while taking advantage of the synergies between both formats (cand Bricor), both in the area of ​​purchases and in the of sales “.

El Corte Inglés is at a time of optimization of its resources, both real estate and product. In fact, on the merger of Bricor, they ensure that their new structure – which will not impact employees – “will allow an optimization of the commercial proposal and services for the customer.”

Despite this merger, the Bricor brand will continue to exist within the El Corte Inglés portfolio. However, it will lose some commercial presence, in recent months the company has already closed several of the centers that the brand occupied.
